Palm
(mobile only)
Palm authentication uses near-infrared palm scanning to verify that the user is physically present and matches the PalmID associated with their WinkID.
When it is triggered?:
- User has a PalmID linked to their Wink account.
- The device supports the required mobile capabilities.
- App configuration allows or requires palm as a second factor.
User experience:
- The user is prompted to raise their hand within the camera frame.
- The SDK guides alignment and captures the palm pattern.
- Authentication completes once the palm is verified.
Strengths:
